Whether you’re refining a product prototype or preparing to launch your first food venture, understanding what customers want and what the market will support is critical.
Entrepreneurship Fundamentals for Food Professionals is a fully online micro-course that equips participants with practical entrepreneurial tools and frameworks to validate ideas, identify opportunities, and build a path to market success.
Through hands-on activities and simulated startup teams, participants will learn how to:
- Conduct market and product research
- Identify and target customer segments
- Prototype and refine products
Applicants must have either two years of experience in the food industry or services; OR a degree, diploma, certificate in science or food science; OR own a food and beverage business.
This micro-course is a partnership between the Sauder School of Business and the Faculty of Land and Food Systems at UBC. It is one of four micro-courses in the Program Certificate in Food Product Development.
