Enhanced Job Search Program
Langley

This dynamic program includes Occupational Exploration, Job Search and Employability Improvement activities which could include optional workplace skills training. Guest speakers from prominent employer groups will address the participants at key points during the program. This is followed up by 12 weeks of support or job coaching as required.
Ongoing career management is essential to all of us, especially in troubled economic times.  In the program, we review work-related skills in depth, and in particular Essential and Employability Skills.
The classroom workshops are divided into two sections : 2 mandatory weeks (10 days) in which we will look closely at sourcing employers, research, basic computer skills and email, identifying your transferable skills, generating job leads, resumes, cover letters, self-marketing and job interviews  as a part of overall career management.
A further optional 2 weeks (7 to 10 days) may be added to the program as required by the participant in which we will cover customer service, team solutions, conflict resolution, MS Word for Resumes, communication, sourcing employers, time management,  e-resumes and online applications, networking, portfolio development, optional workplace skills training and Employment Standards.
